It’s cherry season, and we want to share another way to enjoy this antioxidant-rich fruit – add it to your smoothie for a fresh new summer twist. Not only are cherries delicious, but they also are packed full of health benefits. Here’s one way to take your cherries to go with you this summer:

Cherry Choco Chia Smoothie 

1 cup pitted cherries (feel free to use frozen ones, or raspberries can work too!)

1 serving chocolate protein powder

1 TBSP chia seeds

1 TBSP cocoa powder

1 ½ cups almond milk

Options: Add coffee and/or coconut milk or greek yogurt

 

Put all ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until well combined. Enjoy!
