This training will help you grow mentally, physically, and emotionally as both a teacher and student. You will experience incredible support from a dedicated and diverse team of professional educators who are the best at what they do. We will share, practice, develop and refine advanced teaching and practice techniques, and everyone will take part in extensive practical teaching and critical analysis of themselves, their relationships, their practice, and each other. Every guide in the advanced program will receive the personal time and attention necessary to grow their personal practice and professional career.

Participants will learn to master some of Scholé’s most popular styles, as well as how to lead official Scholé Yoga Teacher Trainings, private lessons, and special events of their own. Past graduates report dramatic shifts in their ability to connect with students and often go on to open yoga studios, wellness programs, and other successful businesses.

The Spring 2019 semester of SYATT is comprised of two main components:

The first component is a series of group training sessions that begin on March 2nd and ends on May 19th. During this time period, we meet every other weekend as a class and complete a variety of fun and exciting homework assignments during each week. The sole exception to this schedule is the last training weekend, which takes place on May 18th and 19th to ensure that those who have travel planned for Memorial Day weekend are free to do so.

During each training weekend, we meet as a class from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Students who have religious obligations, pre-planned vacations, or other commitments during training hours can make up missed time in a variety of fun and unique ways.

The second component of the program begins following the group sessions and is comprised of a traditional one on one mentorship. The specific assignments and work of the mentorship component vary on the specific needs, goals, and interests of each student. The specific schedule and emphasis of each mentorship is unique and will be designed by you in partnership with your mentor based on your unique needs and goals.

You will experience dramatic personal growth as a result of attending this course, and will also gain the ability to lead effective and engaging yoga classes in a variety of styles and formats. Previous graduates also report experiencing incredible weight loss, large increases in strength, flexibility, and mental cognition, as well as dramatic positive shifts in their relationship with themselves and others.

Scholé Yoga Teacher Trainings are among the most academically comprehensive and robust yoga certification courses in the world. Our lead facilitator is Scholé Founder Micah Scholes, the most experienced yoga teacher trainer in the Utah (and one of the most experienced nationwide). Micah has personally facilitated twenty nine yoga teacher trainings and has over eight thousand hours of teaching experience. The SYU faculty also includes Shannon McPhee and Amanda Crittenden, each of whom have studied and practiced yoga for many years and many thousands of hours. As a result, the rewards and esteem for completion of our program are highly desired and respected worldwide.

This high standard for excellence is present in every aspect of the course, beginning with the manual itself. The SYATT course manual is included in the cost of your tuition and features a wide variety of digital, highly interactive content built using proprietary technology. All of the course textbooks are also digital, and your homework will be assigned and turned in using proprietary educational software.

We recommend that you purchase digital copies of all course textbooks through the Apple iBooks store. These digital editions are not only less expensive than paper copies, they are better for the environment as well as your learning experience due to the ability to search, index, and notate electronically. Better yet, just be sure to complete your registration at least two weeks prior to the start of the course to get all of your books for free!

Upon completion of the course, you will be become a “Level Three Scholé Yoga Certified Teacher”, a high distinction that carries considerable esteem at yoga studios, gyms, and fitness facilities worldwide. You will be authorized to offer official Scholé Yoga Experiences and eligible for free job placement and career counseling services through the SYU Office of Professional Development.

In addition to Scholé Certification, you will also receive your Yoga Alliance RYT 500 certificate. Yoga Alliance certification is the most respected and recognized yoga registry in the world and is required by virtually all employers and insurance agencies worldwide.

Even better, unlike most yoga certification programs that are created and taught by one or two people at a single studio, Scholé Certification Courses are the product of decades of study, peer review, and refinement. As a result, they are well known for consistently producing extremely gifted and professional teachers. As a result, being “Scholé Certified” means a great deal more than just being “yoga certified”, and will open doors and create amazing new opportunities worldwide.
