PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Scholé is part of a real living lineage of yoga that goes back more than 5,000 years. From this foundation, we share the practice and study of classical Raja and Vipassana meditation, as well as Ashtanga Vinyasa and its evolution over time into the various schools of Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, and Yin Yoga. We also emphasize and explore a contemporary understanding of human anatomy and physiology, as well as aspects of strength training, pilates, dance, martial arts and other systems of movement. Ultimately, we show you how to combine all of these teachings into the practice of Scholé, the organic outgrowth and next step in the yoga tradition.

Scholé Yoga Teacher Trainings are among the most academically comprehensive and robust yoga certification courses in the world. Our lead facilitator is Scholé Founder Micah Scholes, the most experienced yoga teacher trainer in Utah (and one of the most experienced worldwide). Micah has personally facilitated twenty-six yoga teacher training and has over eight thousand hours of teaching experience. TRAINING SCHEDULE

The Spring 2019 semester begins on March 2nd and ends on May 26th. During the semester, we meet every other weekend as a class and complete a variety of fun and exciting homework assignments during each week.

During each training weekend, we meet as a class from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Students who have religious obligations, pre-planned vacations, or other commitments during training hours can make up missed time in a variety of fun and unique ways.

During each session, we practice, study, and share with each other in a variety of revolutionary and innovative ways. In addition to the group sessions, each student will be assigned a variety of dynamic and engaging homework assignments to complete during the week according to their schedule. Every student also has the opportunity to meet privately with a member of the Scholé Yoga University faculty. This unique and intimate opportunity for personal connection ensures that each student has the support they need to complete the training successfully.

CERTIFICATIONS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Upon completion of the course, you will become a “Level Two Scholé Yoga Certified Teacher,” a high distinction that carries considerable esteem at yoga studios, gyms, and fitness facilities worldwide. You will be authorized to offer official Scholé Yoga Experiences and eligible for free job placement and career counseling services through the SYU Office of Professional Development.

In addition to Scholé Certification, you will also receive your Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certificate. Yoga Alliance certification is the most respected and recognized yoga registry in the world and is required by virtually all employers and insurance agencies worldwide.
